There's something really special about 2025 being the Year of the Wood Snake. As someone who loves the interplay between nature and Chinese traditions, I find it fascinating how the Snake's wisdom pairs so beautifully with the nurturing energy of Wood. It reminds me of watching a graceful vine slowly climbing upward - there's no rush, just this beautiful, intentional growth that happens in its own perfect time.

The Snake year is destined to bring out our more intuitive side.

Just like a snake sheds its old skin to emerge fresh and renewed, 2025 is inviting us to let go of what's no longer serving us. The Wood element adds this wonderful creative energy too. It's like when I'm painting and suddenly everything flows - that's the kind of energy I hope 2025 brings to our creative projects and personal growth.

There's something really magical about how the Wood Snake energy influences our spaces and relationships. We might feel called to bring more curved elements into our homes (those beautiful serpentine lines!), or find ourselves drawn to soothing greens and earthy browns. Green is the colour associated with the element Wood (and also happens my favourite colour).

When I painted my first Zodiac Sign it was in the Year of the Snake (2011) and ironically, my snake was green. I love how these colors ground us while encouraging growth - much like the Snake's connection to both earthly wisdom and spiritual transformation.

Whether we're starting a new project, learning something new, or simply wanting to deepen our connections with others, 2025 feels like it's offering us this gorgeous blend of contemplation and inspired action.

Happy Lunar New Year!
