Ruby’s parents are Korean and Thai so I wanted to incorporate them into the portrait through patterns from their cultural heritage and favourite colours. And of course, I had to include Ruby’s favourite toy – her rubber chook!
My pet portraits are not traditional portraits; I always try to add something special to them whether it’s a particular family story, favourite item or some special cherished memory etc.
